1965 Establishment of Bukkyō Dendō Kyōkai.
Inauguration of the first director: Rev. Chitoku Morikawa.
1966 Publication of Japanese-English version of “The Teaching of Buddha.”
1967 The first presentation of Cultural Awards for the Promotion of Buddhism.

1968 Inauguration of the first chairperson: Rev. Yehan Numata
1970 The first BDK Buddhist Missionary Seminar.

1971 Inauguration of the second director: Rev. Ryōtai Hatani
1972 Ceremony for the completion of theBDK Center Building.
1974 Inauguration of the third director: Rev. Shōson Miyamoto.
1975 Beginning of the donation of the Japanese-English version of “The Teaching of Buddha” to hotels in Japan and overseas
1976 Publication of theFrench version of “The Teaching of Buddha.”
